Help your teen discover their on-camera presence, build real confidence, and feel good about commercial auditions!
This engaging, supportive one-day workshop is designed to introduce teen performers to the fundamentals of on-camera commercial acting. Led by Vancouver's foremost commercial casting director Kathleen Mayrs, teens will learn practical, industry-relevant techniques that help them show up authentically on camera — and understand exactly what casting is looking for.
What we’ll cover:
On-camera basics - understanding framing, camera angles, and where to look
Building confidence on camera
Ad-libbing and natural delivery for commercial dialogue
Storytelling through facial expressions and authentic reactions
Working both solo and with a partner!
Practicing auditioning in person*
…there will also be a 15-minute Q&A session at the end for parents!
*It is VERY beneficial for actors/kids to actually SEE what their auditions look like, so we will film both their performances and all the feedback - they will receive their footage after the workshop! Please be sure you have sufficient storage on your computer. You will have 1 week to download your footage onto your own desk top or lap top. This format is not downloadable on cell phones. We CANNOT store everyones footage. If you do not download it yourself, your footage will be gone.
12 kids maximum.
No acting experience necessary.

Registration is on a first come first serve basis.
All sales are final. Refunds will not be issued, but credit can be given towards a future workshop if requested prior to 72hr before the start of your enrolled workshop.
Due to the limited number of seats in each workshop, I am not able to offer ‘make up’ classes or transfer your spot to another date if you are not available last minute.
Please note that a minimum of 8 registered students is required to run this class. If less than 8 students register by the day before the class starts, the session will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.
